Chúng ta thường dành nhiều thời gian để phòng chống mối cho công trình xây dựng và tìm cách tiêu diệt mối cánh bay vào nhà như thế nào. Tuy nhiên diệt mối cho cây trồng cũng và vấn đề đáng được bạn quan tâm. Bởi các đặc điểm ưa thích những món ăn giàu xenlulo thì các loại cây lâm nghiệp, cây ăn trái cho đến cây hoa màu cũng được xem là nguồn thức ăn dồi dào của chúng. Vậy làm thế nào để tiêu diệt tận gốc và khiến chúng không còn khả năng quay trở lại.

Vì sao bạn nên diệt mối cho cây trồng

Mối không chỉ gây hại cho những đồ vật trong nhà mà còn phá hoại các loại cây trồng, từ cây lương thực, cây ăn quả đến cây lâm nghiệp. Đặc biệt, chúng có thể gây tổn thất nếu phá hoại những vườn ươm giống. Vì vậy bạn cần diệt mối cho cây trồng để bảo vệ cây cối và bảo vệ tài sản của mình.

Thời gian mà bạn cần lưu ý khi thực hiện chính là thời điểm mối tấn công cây trồng mạnh nhất. Theo các nhà nghiên cứu, mục đích phá hoại cây trồng của mối không phải chỉ để lấy thức ăn mà còn để lấy nước uống. Thông thường mức độ tàn phá do mối gây ra cho nhà cửa giảm đi về đông, và đây cũng là thời điểm bạn nên có những biện pháp để phòng chống và tiêu diệt mối cho các loại cây trồng.

Diệt mối cho cây trồng có giống những cách diệt mối thông thường?

Trên thực tế, công tác diệt mối cho cây trồng không thể áp dụng đồng thời giống như diệt mối cho nhà cửa, kho hàng hay các công trình xây dựng. Vì cây trồng bao gồm cây rừng trồng và cây nông nghiệp, phần lớn được trồng ở các phần đất trước kia đã có rừng, đất đồi miền trung du.

Đây là những vùng đất có nhiều loài mối, vì trong đất có nhiều tàn dư thực vật như gốc, rễ cây, bụi, lá,… Mối góp phần phân giải các tàng dư thực vật, làm cho đất có thêm độ phì nhiêu, chúng đào hang ổ và giao thông trong đất góp phần làm cho đất thông thoáng. Mối cũng là nguồn thức ăn của các loài sinh vật khác. Vì vậy bạn không thể và cũng không nên diệt mối tận gốc như một ở công trình cụ thể.

Các phương pháp diệt mối cho cây trồng

Ngoài các công trình kiến trúc, đê, kè, đập,… mối còn gây hại lớn cho cây trồng. Có 2 nhóm mối gây hại cây trồng là nhóm mối Macrotermitinae và nhóm mối gỗ ẩm. Thông thường, có 2 phương pháp diệt mối cho cây trồng:

  • Diệt mối đang phá hoại cây bằng phương pháp lây nhiễm qua các hố nhử
  • Phòng chống mối xâm nhập, phá hoại cây trở lại bằng các hợp chất hóa học hoặc sinh học phù hợp sử dụng cho rễ, thân hoặc lá.

Một số phương pháp diệt mối cho cây trồng mà bạn có thể tham khảo:

  • Mua thuốc trừ mối dạng bột, đem trộn vào giá thể dùng để cho vào bầu ươm cây giống theo tỉ lệ như hướng dẫn trên bao bì để đề phòng mối xâm nhập vào bầu ươm.
  • Trước khi xếp bầu vào luống trong vườn ươm, cần dùng thuốc diệt mối côn trùng dạng dung dịch phun khắp khu vực vườn ươm, mối phát hiện thấy mùi thuốc sẽ không đến khu vực phun thuốc, tránh được mối tấn công cây con trong giai đoạn này.
  • Đối với cây ngấn ngày như khoai lang, khoai tây, đậu phộng,… dùng thuốc trừ mối rắc đều vào ruộng khi làm đất hoặc trộn đều với đất, phân theo rạch hay hốc.
  • Đối với cây lâm nghiệp (bạch đàn, thông, phi lao) cần vệ sinh vườn, rừng trước khi trồng cây con, dọn sạch cành, lá khô vì chúng là thức ăn của mối, sẽ nhử chúng đến.

Dùng thuốc đặc trị là phương pháp tối ưu nhất để diệt mối cho cây trồng

Với các trường hợp bị mối phá hoại, nếu cây trồng không được xử lý ngay sẽ rất nguy hiểm, đa phần với các cây công nghiệp, chỉ trong 4-12 tháng là cây có thể bị đổ vì mối đục thân, các bạn có thể dùng các loại thuốc diệt mối đặc trị cho cây trồng để diệt mối theo các phương pháp sau:

  • Đào một rãnh nhỏ xung quanh gốc, trải đều một lượng thuốc để tạo hàng rào bảo vệ cho cây, có thể dùng dạng nước Lenfos 50EC hoặc dạng bột PMC90PD
  • Phun trực tiếp bằng thuốc Agenda hoặc Mythic xung quanh gốc cây, các phần bị mối xâm nhập, nếu xác định được vị trí tổ mối, bơm trực tiếp dung dịch vào tổ mối.
