Cách đặt hộp nhử mối được thực hiện như sau:

  • Vị trí đặt hộp: là những nơi có mối ăn hay có nguy cơ dễ bị mối tấn công.
  • Cách đặt hộp: sau khi làm ướt hộp nhử mối, bạn bọc nilon bên ngoài để tạo môi trường ẩm ướt. Cố định hộp nhử mối bằng dây thép và đinh cho thật chắc chắn và hạn chế tối đa việc tác động lực lên hộp.
  • Thời gian đặt hộp: mùa hè từ 10-20 ngày, mùa đông từ 15-25 ngày tùy vào vị trí đặt hộp, loại mối, thời tiết,…

Ngoài ra để biết mối đã bị dẫn dụ hay chưa, số lượng có đủ không thì bạn có thể quan sát bằng mắt thường như đất đắp, độ ẩm, tiếng động từ đó biết được có cần bổ sung hộp nhử mối hay không.

Mối lấy nước suốt ngày đêm để xây tổ, nuôi cấy nấm, đắp đường đi và điều hòa nhiệt độ. Vì vậy, chúng ta cần làm ướt hộp nhử trước khi đặt bằng cách nhúng hộp nhử mối vào chậu nước sạch có pha một chút đường rồi để nghiêng 3-5 phút cho ráo nước.

Cách tính số lượng hộp nhử mối cần dùng

Số lượng hộp nhử tùy thuộc vào tình trạng mối xuất hiện đã lâu hay mới xuất hiện, diện tích nhà rộng hay hẹp,… Số lượng hộp nhử mối có thể tính bình quân như sau:

  • Nhà lợp ngói 5 gian (60-70 m2) đặt 5-6 hộp mồi.
  • Nhà 3-4 gian đặt 3-4 hộp.
  • Nhà chỉ xuất hiện một điểm mối ta đặt 2 hộp.
  • Nếu toàn bộ công trình có mối hoạt động thì cần tăng thêm lượng mồi nhử gấp 1,5 lần.
  • Nếu mối đã xông vào đống gỗ hoặc tủ sách với số lượng lớn thì áp dụng biện pháp xử lý khác.

Tối ưu vị trí đặt

Vị trí đặt hộp nhử mối tốt nhất là sát mặt đất, nơi có mối sống và vết ăn còn mới. Hộp nhử mối nên đặt ở bên trong nhà để tránh nắng tránh mưa. Nếu đường mối ra ăn bị bít kín, bạn cần dùng vật sắc nhọn như dao hoặc kéo để thông đường cho mối vào hộp. Ngoài ra vị trí đặt cũng cần thuận tiện cho sinh hoạt, đóng mở cửa dễ dàng, tại vị trí nhà vệ sinh cần đặt cao tránh nước tràn vào hộp.

Dỡ từng thanh mồi phun 1 lớp mỏng thuốc diệt mối côn trùng PMC 90 lên thân mồi, phun thuốc hết các hộp mồi và các vị trí mối xông, đặt mồi lại đúng vị trí cũ. Nhiệt độ khi phun thuốc từ 18-20 độ trở lên. Sau khi sử dụng thuốc 7-10 ngày cần tiến hành kiểm tra kết quả diệt mối.

Nếu còn mối sống trong công trình thì phải xem lại việc thực hiện các bước. Thông thường mối còn sót là mối lính hoặc do mối xâm chậm, chúng ta có thể đợi thêm 3-5 ngày nữa và kiểm tra lại.

Trong trường hợp có sai sót phải tiến hành đặt hộp nhử mối lại hoặc đặt hộp nhử mối thêm do tổ mối có quá nhiều tổ phụ. Nếu không còn mối thì bạn cần tiến hành dọn vệ sinh, thu bỏ tàn dư và không đổ ra hồ ao gây ô nhiễm môi trường.
